The philosopher Plato (c. 428-347 B.C.) is known for his thoughts on form, the circle being the most perfect as in the creation of the universe. The circle or sphere, according to Plato was a form of self-sufficiency, a form that enables its own movement or propulsion and has everything it needs contained within.
